The borated polyethylene board used for radiation shielding is made of UHMW-PE board. UHMWPE board containing boron carbide can shield neutrons and is generally used in hospitals to shield radiation. Because of the addition of borax, this board can only be made black, with boron content of 5%, 10%, 20% and 30%, which can be customized according to customer requirements. Boron-containing board has excellent wear resistance, impact resistance, chemical resistance, self-lubricating, very low moisture absorption and non-toxic, conductive, antistatic, flame retardant, and low friction coefficient.
